Working with Messenger Bots Part 1

So I’ve finally jumped into Facebook messenger bots and I have to say, it’s pretty cool! I see how this can help automate a lot of things, streamline and sell products all from a quick message. I’ve set up a few sequences, not the whole sha-bang, but it does look promising.

Here are a my top 3 experiences you need to know before getting started.

1. Learn the software! Know what the capabilities are and how they could benefit you, the brand or company. I am using ManyChat but their are a few other companies that are great as well but things will change and new programs will start coming out.

2. You need a Strategy. Having a plan is important before you start. Play around with the tools but when you are ready to start the automation, plan it out! Welcome message, response, answer and connection. This is a long road map, not short and it needs the attention it deserves to get it done right!

3. Content, content, content… Copy and images are all needed to get moving. Engaging should be concise and straightforward. Like you are texting or messaging a friend. I think there is definitely room for long form creativity depending on the usage but for now I wouldn’t be too spammy.

I am setting up a strategy now and gathering content. I am trying to be a student of this process first! Check out my introduction for ManyChat below. Soon I will share my Experience Project.

Stay tuned!
